History is written by those who record stories. This process is often controlled by power structures, which frequently exclude marginalized voices. The stories deemed important are decided by others. Through the unique power of visual language, we focus on our own histories. Using the medium of comics, we blend images and words to tell the stories we want to preserve.
This program takes place within the framework of, and in cooperation with, the following projects and partners: FWF-PEEK AR 679 Conviviality as Potentiality, Academy of Fine Arts Vienna; Muslim*Contemporary by Salam Oida; Coordination Office for the Advancement of Women, Gender Studies, and Diversity, Academy of Fine Arts Vienna.
