This workshop took place as part of the Convivial Workshop Series (2022-2024), hosted and organized by the FWF PEEK research project “Convitiality as Potenitality: From Amnesia and Pandemic towards a Convivial Epistemology” (AR 679).
About the workshop
On Tuesday, March 12, 2024, the second workshop by Dr. Araba Evelyn Johnston-Arthur within the FWF-PEEK research project Conviviality as Potentiality took place. This time in difference to workshop one, that was in the Schillerplatz in the Aula of the Academy of Fine Arts Vienna, it took place in the Studio Kunst und Intervention/Konzept/prof. Grzinic.
Dr. Araba Evelyn Johnston-Arthur presented a lecture workshop and discussion titled “Teachers don’t wanna teach what we wanna be taught” Revisiting interventions from outside the teaching machine. Conviviality as Potentiality’s methodology focuses as well on the transmission and sharing of knowledges with students at the Academy of Fine Arts Vienna. This in order to open up discussions on convivial practices and institutional critique. The workshop by Dr. Araba Evelyn Johnston-Arthur was extremely productive with topics on mattering and conviviality.
